In addition to the Championship games, Championship qualifying teams will be allowed by the new format to have at least one day off - possibly two - between the double-elimination portion of the tournament and the Championship series. The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) also has given their approval and support to the new format. The NCAA believes the new format is a good plan for teams and fans.
