Macbeth has improved greatly from Vanitas to Malae Artes. Morena has all but lost the harsh edge to her voice that was so noticeable on the last album, she has not only honed her skills as a vocalist but she has pulled some new tricks out of her bag and shown off some vocal ability that had not been heard before. She has lived up to the potential that could be heard, but was not quite utilized on Vanitas. She has indeed become the cruel siren temptress that the band has nicknamed her for years.

The band is influenced by bands like Crematory and Black and Death Metal in general. Macbeth shows that, contrary to the former genre-greats, they still have a nice heaviness to their sound and they use no electronics at all. They are quite convincing by the well-balanced mixture of heavy guitars and atmospherically dense melody-lines, also the vocals suit the music and the lyrics very well.

In early 2006 Macbeth lost the services of keyboard player Karl. Macbeth's 2007 album, 'Superangelic Hate Bringers', was recorded in two studio locations, in Reykjavik, Iceland and New Sins studios in Italy.
